“ The joy of being in a veterinary general practice, particularly in Bondi Junction is that we see everything, all types of pets, wildlife and all manner of people. Every day brings something different, different problems to solve, interesting medical and surgical cases. Every animal is an individual and that is what makes it special ”

Dr Ray Chan is in partnership with Julia, following Tony’s retirement. He graduated from the University of Sydney in 2008 and has spent some time working in North-Western Sydney before moving to the eastern suburbs. Ray has a particular interest in soft-tissue surgery and animal welfare.

If Ray isn’t at the vet hospital you are likely to find him knocking down pins at a bowling alley nearby.

Ray has an Eclectus Parrot named Horus, who is getting very close to speaking his first words and two Axolotls Alfred and Kiera.

Tina Levy BVSc

Tina has a long history here at Bondi Junction Vet. Tina first came here as a child with her family pets.

Tina enrolled at Sydney University to study Veterinary Science because of the interest engendered by the family Shar Pei.  When she wasn’t studying she spent her weekends and holidays working with us as a receptionist.

As a recent   graduate she was offered a job and has been with us ever since. She knows the ins and outs of the hospital and from client to vet there isn’t anything she hasn’t done here.

She has been working with us part time for the last 18 years as she now has three amazing children, an absolutely gorgeous old Labrador, two cats and now a horse!

Francesca Fung BSc DVM

Francesca is our recent graduate from the University of Sydney and we first met her when she arrived as a final year vet student intern last year.

Hailing originally from Hong Kong Her first degree is from Harvard and she worked in veterinary hospitals in Boston prior to commencing her DVM program in Sydney.

She is really excited to begin her career here and finding her special areas of interest.

Chris is a familiar face to many, being the star of the TV series, “The Bondi Vet”, “The Living Room” and “I’m a Celebrity”. Chris graduated from the University of Sydney in 2001 and started working here a couple of years later.

He travels a lot for his TV shows, hence is not regularly rostered on at Bondi Junction Vet Hospital. He lets us know when he is home and when he feels like being a general practice vet again and comes in and does some shifts. We always enjoy having him back.
